Art Chapman

Art Chapman
President

Mr. Chapman has served as President of JMA for 20 years and has over 30 years of professional experience in real estate management and development. Before joining JMA, Mr. Chapman was Vice President of Campeau Corporation California, a two billion-dollar real estate development company. At Campeau, Mr. Chapman served as General Manager of Housing where he was responsible for multiple residential projects throughout California including high rise condominiums in West Los Angeles, for-rent apartments in conjunction with the San Francisco and San Jose Redevelopment Agencies and the luxury condominium project at 333 Bush Street in the San Francisco financial district.

Prior to Campeau, he spent 11 years with the City of Long Beach serving as the executive director of the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency where he oversaw a number of residential projects including historic projects and high rise oceanfront condominiums.

Mr. Chapman received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, Long Beach, with graduate work in Management and Public Administration at Cal State and at the University of Southern California. He is a former instructor in the MBA program at the Center for Public Policy and Administration at California State University, Long Beach.


David Tirman

David Tirman
Executive Vice President

David A. Tirman serves as Executive Vice President with JMA Ventures, LLC, responsible for oversight of JMA's real estate development initiatives near Lake Tahoe and in Truckee. Prior to JMA Ventures LLC, Mr. Tirman served as Vice President of Development with East West Partners charged with oversight of entitlements, planning and design for the Village-at-Northstar and the Northstar Highlands near Lake Tahoe, CA. Prior to joining East West Partners, Mr. Tirman was based in the Netherlands as Vice President of Development with Prologis. Prior to Prologis, Mr. Tirman was with the Disney Development Company as a Senior Development Manager working on real estate initiatives in both Europe and southern California.

Mr. Tirman began his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines. He is an accredited professional with the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. Mr. Tirman, a licensed architect, is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Mr. Tirman received B.A. and B.Arch. degrees from the University of Arkansas. He also did graduate study in business administration at the University of California- Irvine.


Deanna Gescheider

Deanna Gescheider
Director of Marketing & Sales

Deanna Gescheider is the marketing and sales director for Homewood Mountain Resort. Gescheider brings experience with strategic marketing and public relations. While serving as the executive director of marketing and communications at the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, she led the multi-million-dollar re-branding campaign for Reno. The campaign transitioned Reno's public perception from a gaming destination to an outdoor enthusiast's playground. Creating a brand positioning and grand opening campaign for the $105 million Reno-Sparks Convention Center and $30 million Reno Events Center allowed Reno to diversify its tourism visitors to include business and entertainment travelers as well. Gescheider has worked with several of Reno's top marketing, public relations, and advertising agencies throughout her career. As well as, opening her own agency, Ashby Unlimited, and represented clients including Intero Real Estate Services, Incline Creek Estates, and The Laughton Company.


Kent Hoopingarner

Kent Hoopingarner
General Manager, Homewood Mountain Resort

Kent "Hoop" Hoopingarner joined JMA Ventures LLC in December 2006, as General Manager of Homewood Mountain Resort in California. He brings a long history of expertise in resort management and development to the company. Prior to his current position Hoop oversaw operations at Alpine Meadows Resort, California, Purgatory Ski Resort, Colorado and Snowbird, Utah. At Snowbird he experienced the ground up development and construction of the resort as well as having executive oversight of all operations.

Past professional affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors for the California Ski Industry Association and the National Ski Area Association Avalanche Committee as well as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Salt Lake County Service Area #3.
